Now received the welcome pack and returned all the necessary paperwork. Fund-Raising still a challenge but one which will be overcome. Looking forward to a team gathering anticipated to be in Bath sometime in June. Have joined the 'Facebook' group 'Enduro India'.

Still in the early planning stages for the trip next year. No sponsorship coming in just yet but I do need to drum up a bit of interest. Pretty much know what kit I'm going to need so there's no rush to buy it for the time being.

I have now begun to look around for the equipment I shall need for the Enduro. At the same time, feelers have gone out for sponsorship and hopefully this will manifest itself in an in injection of monies!

I shall be starting to improve my general fitness as, at present, I tend to be a bit of a 'couch potato'! My doctor will approve of this I'm sure.

In the beginning

Having just signed up to the Enduro India due to start in Jan 2010, I thought it a good idea to post a Blog early and attempt, over the next few months, to catalogue my endeavours. There is much to do before the ride itself and there's no better time than now to start planning. Fundraising is going to be a challenge and I will be relying on family, friends and others to help me achieve the aim.

My Raison D'etre for pursuing this endeavour is to quell my inner voice which keeps telling me '...he who hesitates is lost....' and after years of dreaming about doing something, the time has come to stop prevaricating and put my money where my mouth is!

I will post whatever I can over coming months and would welcome any constructive input from anyone who has gone before me.
